Govt Launches New Self Help Portal for GST Queries

GST Queries

Though the Government implemented Goods and Services Tax (GST), the biggest tax reform in India, around seven months ago, there is still lack of information among common man about the new tax regime about its implementation and its effect on one’s business and expenses.

In order to address the queries related to the Goods and Services Tax, the Government is launching a new self-help portal for traders.

The new portal http://selfservice.gstsystem.in/ will launch on 22nd January, the Finance Ministry said.

“This portal will enable taxpayers to report issues and problems related to GST system and its services. Taxpayers can raise tickets, check status and refer FAQs to this new user-friendly and intuitive portal,” the Government said.

By this, the maid ID, helpdesk@gst.gov.in, which was created by the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) for addressing GST-related queries, will be discontinued.
