GST: CBEC releases Draft Notification Amending Bill of Entry and Bill of Export Regulations

As the country is all set to launch the proposed Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) released draft notification amending Bill of Entry Regulations, 1976 and Bill of Export Regulations, 1991 for non- EDI locations or for manual clearance.

The Board has released three new Forms of Bill of Entry, i.e, for Ex-Bond Clearance, for warehousing and For Home Consumption along with the draft notification wherein certain necessary amendments has been incorporated in order to use the same under the new indirect tax regime.

It also released draft Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 2017 and Draft Courier Imports and Exports (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations,2017 along with proposed Forms.

The Board invited comments from stakeholders on Draft Courier Imports and Exports (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations,2017 for electronic clearances along with proposed electronic forms, namely, “new Form Courier Bill of Entry-XII (CBE-XII)”, “new Form Courier Bill of Entry-XIII (CBE-XIII)”, “new Form Courier Bill of Entry-XIV (CBE-XIV)” and “new Form Courier Shipping Bill (CSB-IV).
