The Ministry of Corporate Affairs ( MCA ) has extended the due date for filing of AOC-4 XBRL E-Forms in respect of financial statement and other documents with the Registrar using newly implemented Ind-AS.

In the circular issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, it is stated that the last date for filing of AOC-4 XBRL for all eligible companies required to prepare or voluntarily prepare their financial statements in accordance with Companies (Indian Accounting Standards) Rules, 2015 for the financial year 2016-17 without additional fee is till 31st May 2018.

Earlier, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs had passed a circular extending the last date for filing AOC-4 (XBRL e-forms using Ind-AS) for the financial year 2016-17 without additional fee till 30th April 2018. Now, this has been further extended to 31st May 2018.

This comes after various stakeholders approached the government with requests for extending the time limit for filing of financial statements for the financial year that ended on 31.03.2017 as they were finding difficulty in adapting to the newly implemented Indian Accounting Standards (mentioned earlier as Ind-AS).
