CBIC reshuffles Appointed Principal Chief Commissioners & Chief Commissioners [Read Order]

The reorganisation transfers and appoints several senior officials to different positions within the Indirect Tax Departments

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs ( CBIC ) has announced a significant reshuffle involving the transfer and posting of several high-ranking officials. This latest administrative move impacts Principal Chief Commissioners, Chief Commissioners, and Director Generals within the Customs and Indirect Taxes departments.

Pramod Kumar Agrawal, previously serving as Principal Chief Commissioner, has been reassigned to the CGST Bengaluru Zone. Rajesh Pandey, another Principal Chief Commissioner, will now oversee the Mumbai Zone-II Customs. Ajay Saxena, also a Principal Chief Commissioner, has been designated to the Patna Customs (Prev) Zone.

Among the Chief Commissioners, K R Uday Bhaskar has been appointed to the CGST Mumbai Zone. Nitish Kumar Sinha is now assigned to Mumbai Zone-I Customs, while Balbir Singh Khattra has been posted to the Ranchi GST & CX Zone. M Srihari Rao will take up his new role in the Tiruchirappalli Customs (Prev) Zone.

Jagreeti Sen Negi has been appointed Chief Commissioner for the CGST Chandigarh Zone, marking another significant move. Meanwhile, Nirmal Kumar Soren, who holds the dual role of Chief Commissioner and Director General, has been posted to DGGI West in Mumbai. Lastly, Abhai Kumar Srivastav, also a Chief Commissioner, is now assigned to the Customs Ahmedabad Zone.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs ( CBIC ) plays a critical role in managing the administration of indirect taxes in India, including Goods and Services Tax ( GST ), Customs, Central Excise, and Service Tax.
