The V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust has invited applications for filling up of one post of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer in the scale of pay of Rs. 100000-260000 by absorption through composite method in VOC Port Trust.

The Officers of Major Port Trusts fulfilling the eligibility criteria prescribed in the Recruitment Rules. The copy of Recruitment Rules is enclosed as Annexure—I. The Selection is by merit for which overall grading in the ACRs/APARs will not be below “Very Good”.

Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits Essential:

(i) Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India

(ii) Fifteen years of experience in Executive cadre in the field of Finance, Accounting in an Industrial Commercial/Government Undertakings.

General Instruction

  • The eligible and willing officers, who satisfy the provisions of the Recruitment Rules for the post of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer may submit their application through the “Online Applications Portal (OAP)” of the Ministry of Shipping website http://onlinevacancy,shipmin.nic.in. after registering in the portal and thereafter, a printout of the filled up online applications to be taken.
  • The application in the prescribed proforma enclosed as Annexure-II along with the documents may be sent in an envelope, superscribing “Application for the post of Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer in V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust”, addressed to The Secretary, V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin-4 to reach on or before 20.04.2020.
  • The copies of APARs for the last 5 years, duly attested by the Officer not below the rank of Dy.HOD on each page and also statement showing years availability of ACRs/APAR and grading duly signed by Dy. Chairman/Chairman. If the ACR/APAR of a particular year/period is not available, “No report certificate” may be furnished.
  • The photocopies of all certificates and proof of educational qualification, present and past work experience in the respective post and pay scale shall be attested and also No objection certificate from the respective Port. The veracity of the qualification certificates and the recognition of the degree obtained by the applicant may be ensured and certified and Two recent passport size color photographs in a sealed envelope.
  • A Certificate should be provided by the Head of the Office of the applicant in Annexure-III and an undertaking of the applicant not to withdraw his/her candidature, if selected and Vigilance/ Administrative Clearance of the applicant is to be furnished in the format in Annexure — IV enclosed.
  • Port Official who withdraws his/her candidature for the post after selection will be liable for debarment from future selection to HoD level posts in all Major Port Trusts for two years and also said that If any major or minor penalty has been imposed on the applicant during the last 10 years, the disciplinary case leading to such penalty along with necessary documents may be sent by the forwarding authority along with the application.
  • The crucial date for determining the eligibility criteria as regards to the qualification, experience, age etc, will be as on the last date prescribed for receipt of applications. Incomplete application or application received after the due date will not be considered.
