The 22nd Meeting of the GST Council will be held on 6 October 2017 at Hall No 2-3, Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
On Friday, the most powerful policy-making body under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime may take various decisions including refund of taxes, relief for Small Business Enterprises (SMEs) etc.
Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, while addressing Medias after the second meeting of the GST Network in Delhi said that “Structural changes in the GST regime will also be deliberated in the upcoming Council meeting with the member states from across the country and will be announced by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.”
Reportedly, the Council may also consider deferring of reverse charge mechanism and re-opening of registration window for composition levy etc, with a view to reduce compliance burden on the small traders.
