The Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC ) has invited job applications for the post of Public Prosecutor.The Royal Commission on the Superior Civil Services in India under the Chairmanship of Lord Lee, which submitted its Report in 1924, recommended the setting up of the Union Public Service Commission. This led to the establishment of the first Public Service Commission on 1 October 1926 under the Chairmanship of Sir Ross Barker.

Assistant Public Prosecutor: 1 Post

Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized University. (B) EXPERIENCE: three years’ experience at a Bar. DESIRABLE: (i) Experience as a Public Prosecutor/Government Advocate. (ii) Knowledge of local language i.e. speaking, reading, understanding and explaining in Gujarati.
