The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), the apex indirect tax body, is all set to introduce Tax Dispute Online Tracking System in order to check litigations and proceedings and to provide speedy disposal of tax matters.

Tax Dispute Online Tracking System (TDOTS) is an online dispute resolution tracking system developed for online monitoring of the tax disputes and tracking resolution proceedings. This tax dispute tracking system is a result of immense hard work and wisdom of Sh. Sanjeev Srivastava, Commissioner of Customs (Export), ICD Tughlakabad in conjunction with Directorate of Data Management.

In a letter addressed to the CBEC Officials, Chairman Vanaja S Sarna said that the information manual on accessing and using the TDOTS module is available on the homepage of the DDM website.

“This module will be available on the DDM website from 5th February 2018 for uploading of data by the field formations. In the initial phase, data pertaining to cases/ disputes originating in the year 2017 should be uploaded followed by the data for the previous years in a phased manner. This module is developed by DLA in consultation with DDM,” she said.

TDOTS manual has been prepared to guide the TDOTS module users for proper uploading of data in TDOTS module to ensure efficient monitoring of proceedings of dispute resolution. This manual will also help the users of TDOTS module to track the proceeding of individual cases thereby ensuring transparency and accountability.
