Due date for E-Payment of TDS & TCS for October Extended [Read Notification]

The Central Government, last day extended the due date for payment of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Tax Collection at Source (TCS) due to technical glitches in NDSL’s gateway for e-payment of tax on 7^th November 2017.

Due to this, some tax payers or deductors were not able to make payment through online for certain period.

An order issued by the income tax department last day said that “In order to redress genuine hardship faced by such taxpayers/deductors, the Central Board of Direct Taxes, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 119(2) of the Income Tax Act, 1961, hereby extends the due date of deposit of tax deducted at source/tax collected at source during the month of Octoher 2017 from 7th November, 2017 to 8^th November, 2017.”
