GST Registrations due to peak filing of Income Tax returns, the registration of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Portal is being affected these days.

PAN validation is a basic requirement for obtaining GST registration.

The last date for tax audit and return filing under the provisions of Income Tax Act was 31st October 2017, which was recently extended by the Government to 7th November.

Since 31st October, the official website of the income tax website was down which ultimately resulted in affecting PAN validation services.

A statement appeared in the official website of GST confirmed the same.

It said that “Attention: PAN validation services with Income-tax database may get affected due to peak filing period of Income-tax return resulting in delay or validation errors while filing registration application.”

Resultantly, traders, who want to get registered under the new indirect tax regime should wait till 7th November.
