The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has informed that the number of e-way bills generated from April 1st to till Today has just crossed 20 crores.
An advisory issued by the Board has said that since the introduction of the Bill system, more than 20 crore E-way Bills have been generated till now.
It said that first 10 Crore Bills generated in 83 days while next 10 Crore Bills Generated in Just 66 days..!
More than two crore Bills have been generated 22nd May. According to data revealed by the department, from 1st May to 21st May, 2,09,62,729 Bills have been generated in the portal. On 19th May, the number was 12,68,332.
The E-Way bill, rolled out on 1st April is now running smoothly without any glitches.
