Advocate Ayush Ranjan Jha, a well-known lawyer and a member of the Rohini Court Bar Association, was brutally attacked in public by a policeman in Palam, Dwarka, under the Delhi Cantt. police station’s jurisdiction.
According to eyewitnesses, the policeman, who was not in uniform, suddenly attacked Advocate Jha with an iron rod. The officer hit him multiple times on the head, causing serious injuries. Passersby who saw the attack rushed to help and stopped the policeman from continuing the assault.

Doctors treating Advocate Jha have confirmed that he is out of danger, but he has suffered severe head trauma. His injuries have raised serious concerns about the safety of legal professionals in the city.

Even though the officer was caught in the act, the Delhi Police have not revealed his identity. They have only said that an investigation is ongoing, but this has done little to ease public concerns.
Many are questioning why the police are protecting the attacker instead of taking immediate action. This has led to fears that the case might be covered up or delayed, as seen in other incidents of police misconduct.
Legal community are now demanding justice and strict action against the accused officer. Many believe that such incidents show a dangerous misuse of power by the police and should not be ignored.
