Chhattisgarh Assembly unanimously passes State GST Bill 2017

The Chhattisgarh Assembly today unanimously passed State Goods and Services Taxes (GST) Bill, 2017.

The assembly held a special session for clearing the GST bill and finally passed the Bill. Telengana, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Bihar are the four states who passed the bill last week.

Chhattisgarh will be paying one tax instead of 16 central and state tax. They will be getting uniformity in tax procedure and rates across India.

Goods and Services Taxes Bill passed in Chhattisgarh Assembly, it is a big day for the state, said Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh.

The tax burden on most commodities will come down and that will be benefiting the consumers and the business man too. One can avail benefit up to 2 to 3 percent increase in Gross Domestic Products (GDP). The passed Goods and Services Taxes bill will end the CST and Tax on the interstate movement of goods.

The Goods and Services Taxes Bill passed in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. A uniform taxation structure across the country will enable the growth of New India, he also added.
