18 % Growth in Chattisgarh GST Collection for March 2025

According to state officials, Chhattisgarh has become the fastest-growing state in India in terms of GST income collection, with an astounding 18% growth rate in the fiscal year 2024–2025.

Chhattisgarh has registered a total GST income collection of Rs 16,390 crore, surpassing the annual rise of all other states. The states of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra have reported increases of 15% and 16%, respectively.

For the first time, Chhattisgarh collected more than Rs 2000 crore in GST in March. Under the SGST category, the state has collected ₹1,301.09 crore, a phenomenal 72% increase over March 2024.  With a 10% yearly rise in mind, Rs 756.73 crore was also acquired under the Integrated GST ( IGST ) category. In March 2025, the state’s GST revenue was Rs 2,057.82 crore, a remarkable 43% monthly increase over Rs 1,443.66 crore in March 2024.

Under the leadership of Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the commercial tax department led a number of technological developments and changes that are responsible for the increase in GST revenue. The government has implemented all of its plans to increase tax compliance and transparency, guaranteeing that companies successfully abide by the tax regulations.
