Responsibilities

The position will be focused on enterprise-wide strategic performance assessments and related senior executive support.

  • Assist in the development of financial strategies to improve the financial performance of lines of business and products across Wells Fargo.
  • Support senior management on performance-related projects.
  • Ongoing enhancement of the FPM framework. The position will report directly to the senior leader within FPM responsible for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and internal advisory.

Enterprise-wide strategic performance assessments for Wells Fargo’s businesses and products:

  • Contribute to the creation of customized analytics to help evaluate the profitability and risk-adjusted returns of business and products across the company
  • Assist in the development of financial strategies or act in an advisory capacity to improve the financial performance and risk profile of the company. This could include strategies to optimize business or product mix, align day-to-day business decisions with corporate objectives and constraints, or position the company appropriately in advance of regulatory changes
  • Support the creation of profitability and financial strategy related presentations to senior audiences (e.g., internal committees, executive management, the Board of Directors)
  • Work with the senior leader in FPM and Corporate Strategy on quantitative and performance analyses supporting various firm-wide projects and initiatives and with Corporate Development on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.

Support for profitability-related ad hoc requests from executive management:

  • Take an active role in the production of ad hoc analyses/requests originating from the senior audiences mentioned above. These requests could relate to a variety of topics including, but not limited to, business/product profitability or risk-adjusted returns, corporate strategy, acquisitions and divestitures, and treasury-related analytics
  • Assist with any required coordination with stakeholders in other groups (Corporate Treasury, FP&A, LOB Finance, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Risk, etc.) in order to be responsive to these requests.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of finance experience.
  • ACA Inter, ACMA Inter, CFA, CA, CMA or higher
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including a high level of proficiency in modeling
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting and analyzing interest income and balance sheet behavior
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Desired Qualification

  • Proficiency in creating presentations suitable for executive management
  • Experience in an investment banking, strategy, or related role covering the financial services industry
  • Exposure to Corporate Treasury, including working knowledge of regulatory capital rules and liquidity standards, and asset/liability management practices
