The All India Cost & Management Accountants Association (AICMAA) celebrated CMA Day as a tribute to Professional Excellence, on the proud occasion of CMA Day - May 28th. The association remarked the importance of CMAs vital role in enhancing transparency, strengthening compliance, optimizing costs, and driving value creation across all sectors of the economy.
The meeting also highlights the AICMAA's key contributions made in 2024-25. As a part of representation to the Select Committee on Income Tax Bill, 2025 AICMAA Council Members met with key members of the Select Committee constituted by the Ministry of Finance to present a detailed case for the inclusion of Cost and Management Accountants (CMAs) in the definition of "Accountant" under the proposed Income Tax Bill, 2025.

The meeting also highlighted the notable achievement that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) officially acknowledged the valuable suggestions submitted by AICMAA in the recently released Cost Audit Framework Review Report.
AICMAA submitted a set of strategic suggestions to the Select Committee on the Draft Income Tax Bill, 2025, constituted by the Ministry of Finance. The recommendations focused on enhancing tax compliance, rationalizing procedures, and increasing tax revenue, while emphasising the need for formal inclusion of CMAs in key compliance, audit, and valuation roles to support efficient tax administration.
The Chief Audit Executive, Adani Group, discussed the growing role of CMAs in enterprise risk and audit leadership.
The association also organised a seminar with renowned author Sri V.S. Datey, addressing the Finance Bill 2025, featuring expert insights from Sri V.S. Datey, a highly respected author in the field of tax and corporate law.
