The Authenticity of the Licences, Authorisations, Scrips, Certificates, Instruments etc issued by DGFT can be Verified using UDIN ( Unique Document Identification Number ). The DGFT, through its trade notice no. 09/2024-25 dated 23rd July notified the same.
In response to recurring requests for the verification of authorisation for various Licences, Authorisations, Scrips, Certificates, Instruments, etc., issued by the DGFT, it is informed to the stakeholders that the system for verifying the authenticity of electronically issued documents is fully operational on the DGFT website.
To ensure authenticity, a Unique Document Identification Number ( UDIN ) is affixed to the top-right corner of all electronically issued documents. Stakeholders can easily verify these documents by following these steps:
No specific website login credentials are required for this process. Once the UDIN is entered, the complete electronic document will be available for download. For paper copies of documents, stakeholders can compare the details with the electronic copy downloaded using the UDIN.
The stakeholders were encouraged to utilise this facility for document verification. Consequently, requests for document authenticity verification should not be referred to the DGFT.
