The GE digital has invited applications for the post of Financial Systems & Business Analyst.
The Financial Systems & Business Analyst, will own FP&A systems on Reporting & Analytics for GE Digital. This role will primarily manage FP&A systems projects for continuous improvement of financial processes including advancement of standard reporting across business units, simplification of complex legacy reports, automation of data-driven analytics on key business drivers, and better predictability of rolling forecasts. Additionally, this role will perform analysis of engineering spend through the use of FP&A systems. This role will contribute significantly to promote best in class analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop financial reporting and consolidation process using Onestream to reduce manual spreadsheets and promote standardization
- Develop standard dashboards and bowlers using Onestream to support business operating reviews and analysis
- Develop financial models that enables data-driven insights for performance measurement and rolling forecast
- Support analytical requirements of Global FP&A team while continuously assessing opportunities for standardization
- Provide OneStream projects solutions from requirements understanding to converting into technical solution
- Centrally manage, maintain, and support Onestream in partnership with Global FP&A
- Document process, systems, and data flow related to each business segment’s operational P&L and develop analytics to advance standard work
- Support finance team on financial planning and analysis during month close and planning cycles
- Partner with Global FP&A team to implement rolling forecast models in Onestream across all the segments, R&D and horizontal functions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited university or college preferred
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology preferred
- Preferably Chartered Accountant
- Minimum 4 years of financial analysis or financial systems experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Proven project management experience, including coordinating multiple people / projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated analytical and modeling capabilities
- Comfortable working in matrixed and global environments
- Problem solving, continuous improvement, and passionate to deliver results
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate complex issues in concise manner
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or Siebel
- Experience with BI or financial reporting systems such as Hyperion, Onestream, and Anaplan
- Knowledge on VB.net
- Ability to define or customize reports based on business needs and demonstrate willingness to understand the business
- This role requires basic experience in the Finance & FP&A Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
