VMWARE has invited applications for the post of Senior Financial Analyst.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in FP&A or related function in a comparable company.
- Adept in periodical finance close activities, forecasting and budgeting.
- Exposure to project management.
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
- Functional knowledge of ERP/Oracle/SAP.
- Strong Written/Verbal communication skills.
- Capable of handling internal and external stake holders.
- Should have a customer centric attitude.
- Strong background on policies/procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively establish a finance business partnership with the real estate management team, IT Apps development and Architecture team and VP’s and Sr. Directors.
- Reconciliation of costs to GL in SAP, forecasting and budgeting. Work directly with accounting to understand GL entries and confirm proper accounting treatment of expenses.
- Understanding and forecasting impact of changes and other elements against the project/spend budget.
- Work closely with IT project management team and IT Operational leadership to provide monthly and quarterly reporting metrics and variance reporting.
- Provide financial modeling and analytical support related to VMware’s accounting policies of depreciation calculations and other P&L impact of capital project.
- Analyzing, synthesizing and translating data into key strategic inputs and insights that will drive strategic decision making within the Finance and IT organizations.
- Partnering with the Project/Ops manager, the cost consultant, and the VMW project management team & attend key project review and planning meetings.
- Assist in creation and presentation of project/Spend status to the executive management.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams like Internal Audit, Treasury, Tax, etc as needed.
