Rockline Mall, a prominent shopping destination in the outskirts of  Bengaluru, Karnataka, owned by renowned Kannada film producer Rockline Venkatesh, was sealed on Wednesday by Corporation Tax Officials for failing to settle property tax arrears.

A viral video circulating on social media captures the moment officers from the Corporation Revenue carried out the sealing process at the Rockline Mall. The mall, inaugurated in 2011 by the then-state Home Minister R Ashoka, has garnered attention for its closure due to non-payment of taxes.

Officials from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ( BBMP ), accompanied by marshals, visited the mall on Wednesday to execute the sealing. The BBMP’s zonal commissioner, along with senior officials, supervised the process and formally sealed the premises.

BBMP authorities revealed that Rockline Mall accumulated property tax arrears amounting to Rs 11.51 crore. Despite prior notices urging the mall to clear the outstanding dues, the payments were not made, leading to the enforcement action. The BBMP officials emphasized that the mall’s management failed to address the outstanding property tax obligations.
