The film has been exempted from the state GST, and consequently, the audience will not have to pay the state GST however the central GST continues. Out of the total of 18 percent tax levied on a movie ticket worth Rs 100, the viewers will have to pay only 9 percent. For a movie ticket costing Rs 100, the audience will pay a tax of only 6 percent.
