The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a reschedule for the upcoming Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination, which was originally set for 14th January 2025.
In light of the Makar Sankranti, Bihu, and Pongal festivals being observed across the country, the exam will now be held on 16th January 2025.
The Foundation Examination will be conducted on the following dates:
12th January 2025
16th January 2025
18th January 2025
20th January 2025
The rescheduled exam dates are part of the revised examination calendar issued by ICAI. Candidates should take note of these changes to ensure they are fully prepared for the revised schedule. Importantly, there will be no changes to the schedule for the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination, which will proceed as originally planned for January 2025.

Additionally, ICAI clarified that no alterations will be made to the exam schedule, even if any of the exam days are declared a public holiday by the central or state governments, or local authorities.
There will be no change in the schedule of Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination to be held in January-2025.
It may further be noted that there would be no change in the examination schedule in the event of any day of the examination schedule mentioned above, being declared a Public Holiday by the Central Government or any State Government / Local Authority.
It was also clarified that other particulars / details as announced vide Important Announcement dated 20th September-2024 hosted on www.icai.org shall remain unchanged.
The announcement also reiterated that other details related to the examination, as per the ICAI’s earlier Important Announcement dated 20th September 2024, will remain unchanged. Candidates are advised to stay updated by regularly checking the official ICAI website, www.icai.org, for any further updates or clarifications.
