The Cargill has invited applications for the post of Country Finance Controller – India.

Responsibilities:

  • involve  in the transformation, leadership, and performance of key accounting activities for India and Srilanka to support cross enterprise activities. 
  • responsible for implementing processes which will ensure compliance with Local and US GAAP, providing reliable financial reporting & compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies.
  • oversee relationship with other functions, e.g. Tax, Treasury, CBS Finance, among others and will be accountable to certify that financial statements reflect the accuracy & entirety of the business transactions, and that balance sheet and P&L are duly reconciled and certified by external auditors.
  • primarily responsible for completing the statutory audit and other financial statutory compliances for the legal entities working closely with other COE’s and A&F Director.
  • Actively collaborates in driving process optimization, leveraging of shared services, and improving the efficiency of finance operations.
  • work closely with the A&F Director and Controls lead to lead the deployment of the financial control framework by assessing risk and developing and deploying sustainable processes and tools to ensure that controls are maintained across multiple financial delivery models, systems, and processes. 
  • play a critical role to assess the effectiveness of controls and to ensure financial compliance across all enterprises, which is critical through this dynamic time of change
  • Develop the strategy, plan and processes to effectively deliver operational excellence on key accounting activities.
  • Apply extensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures to provide direction to direct reports on evaluating technical accounting report packages.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Professional (CA. CMA, ACCA or CPA) with at least 10 years of work experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Strong accounting experience with very good technical knowledge in US and Local GAAP
  • Demonstrated change agility and ability to navigate self and team through ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Highly effective people leadership skills which motivates for high performance 
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Proven accounting/finance leader with strong problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
  • Three years of supervisory experience leading the finance function 
  • Proven experience in handling Mergers and Acquisitions, JV etc. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create a team culture of continuous improvement, process optimization, and intellectual curiosity
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to partner and engage with centers of expertise (like Tax, Technical Accounting, Audit, HR, IT)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and use technology to improve process and control
