The Unilever invited applications for the post of IT Manager – Global Finance Platform.

Qualification

  • CA or CMA or Bachelor’s in business, engineering or Computer Science, and Masters/MBA in Finance preferred.
  • Overall 10+ years of experience in IT of which 3+ years of experience working on IT Application Maintenance, Service Delivery, and IT Platform Management
  • Finance process knowledge and Technology expertise on Finance function in ERP (SAP or other ERPs) and non-ERP preferred.
  • Assist delivery of all agreed IT-related projects for the Finance area, from Feasibility phase to completion
  • In the Ideas phase, provide support to Business in driving clarity of business requirements, high level design, cost and time estimates to facilitate the production of high-quality charters
  • Assist/Lead during Feasibility and Capability phases for the translation of business requirements into a functional specification and specific work packages for call-off from service design and service introduction functions
  • Work in close partnership with the Solution Delivery Managers to ensure on-time and on-budget execution of application changes for all key projects and programs
  • Work with Lead to ensure that the Project Delivery Process is adhered to
  • Help ensure Technical and Security standards as defined in Controls framework are implemented and adhered to during design and implementation
  • Help ensure solution resilience and provide functional expertise on both technical and functional fixes/changes.
  • Manage the BAU support for the projects delivered in Finance space
  • Manage escalations for complex incidents, issues to achieve target uptime levels
  • Act as a gatekeeper for resilience
  • Ensure governance over AM vendor team and ensure SLAs are met
  • He/she needs to provide full governance on the AM vendor working for the tool.
  • Needs to work closely with global release and change management teams to ensure global processes are followed
  • Responsible for putting root-cause analysis together for critical incidents for own area with vendor resources and AM teams.
  • Sign off and follow progress, deal with issues, escalations, will engage with vendor resources, service delivery, Infrastructure, Business engagement and key users when required.
  • Front end all critical IT communications to Geo IT and Business such as communications during P1 or other service disruptions, specific announcements about major upgrades/maintenance activities and Executive root cause summary (for P1)
  • Deliver above responsibilities within an agreed financial charging structure and budget
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Co-ordinate the delivery with Team leads, Developers, Regression testing team, other platform release teams, Business Ops and business teams

Responsibilities

  • The Technical Solutions Manager will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives to optimize the performance and efficiency of the IT systems and infrastructure in the Finance record to report area.  This individual will own responsibility for building and maintaining strong relationships with leadership, business partners, and functional teams. 
  • Provide active management and oversight of critical IT project deliverables while maintaining a high level of business centricity through oversight of an effective IT service management model.
  • Closely works with other business and IT leaders to ensure cohesive execution of stated objectives and strategy.
  • The position will require supervisory experience and the capability to build highly effective teams in both direct and matrix management support models.
