Amazon has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Accounting Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying root causes for problems within the supply chain or in internal Amazon systems and leading the initiative of fixing these problems- conduct follow-up tasks, communicate opportunities for improvement and agree on action plans
  • Analyze underlying issues and root cause to improve processes and customer experience.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for a specific line of business and liaise with SPS, BPs, Retail, Internal teams & Vendors with the goal to develop strong business relationships, create mutual trust, and resolve open issues raised by the Vendors in order to avoid shipment holds, Legal issues or other business interruption.
  • Drive defect resolution for identified issues.
  • Analyze dependencies trends and make course corrections within business processes by establishing reliable mechanisms
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for amicable Vendor solutions.
  • Work with global stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and help drive the same. This would include driving a culture of continuous improvement through quality initiatives like Lean & Six Sigma.

Candidate Requirements

  • Analyzing metrics relating to operational performance and effectively presenting data to Leadership, Business Partners, Management, and internal teams.
  • Working actively and accurately on an independent basis; giving great attention to detail and displaying the initiative to quickly identify process gaps, failures and discrepancies
  • Interacting with SPS, Retail & Finance teams while working on internal tickets, escalations, business decisions, objectives, and communication.

Qualification and Skills Required

  • CA, CPA or CWA, with 8+ or more years of post-qualification experience in Shared Services, Accounts Payable
  • Strong Customer focus (both Internal / External).
  • A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills.
  • Expertise in Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (DMAIC, etc.)
  • Retail industry experience (Preferred)
  • Experience using Oracle Financial Applications (Preferred) ·
  • Expertise in Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (DMAIC, etc.)
