The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Friday announced the constitution of the Panel for enforcement of the Election Code of Conduct for the election of 2021.
In terms of the provisions of sub-rule (5) of Rule 16 of the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006, the Institute has notified for the general information of the members at large that the Panel for enforcement of the Election Code of Conduct issued by the Returning Officer under sub-rule (1) of the aforesaid Rule for the forthcoming elections to the Council and Regional Councils shall be composed of the 3 persons namely CA. (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra who is the Returning Officer and Acting Secretary of ICAI; Mr. Tharvinder Singh who is the Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA); and Mr. Shailendra Mohan Pathak who is the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
