The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has notified the Lists of Valid Nominations for election to the Twenty-Fifth Council and Twenty Fourth Regional Councils and central council.
“In pursuance of sub-rule (1) of rule 13 of the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006 read with sub-regulation (10) of regulation 134 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the List of Valid Nominations for election to the Twenty-Fifth Council and Twenty Fourth Regional Councils has been sent to each candidate whose nomination has been accepted by the Panel for Scrutiny vide letter dated 7th October 2021. The List of valid Nominations for Central Council and Regional Councils is also available on the website of the Institute for the general information of members at large,” the ICAI said.

The Institute mentioned that under Rule 14 of the aforesaid Rules, withdrawal of candidature can be made by a candidate by giving a notice in his/her own hand and duly signed by him/her and delivered to the undersigned (CA. (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, Returning Officer, and Acting Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi – 110 002) on or before 6.00 P.M. on 18th October 2021. Any candidate who has given notice of withdrawal of his/her candidature shall not be allowed to cancel or withdraw that notice.
