The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially declared the results for the Chartered Accountant (CA) Foundation and Intermediate exams held in January 2025. Beating thousands of aspirants across the country, Deepanshi scored an impressive 521 marks out of 600, translating to a stellar 86.83%.

The Results of January 2025 iteration of the CA Intermediate examination had been declared at the official website of the ICAI today. The high-level of scrutiny demanded by the CA profession has a direct nexus with the pass percentage of the exam as well, with only a fraction of the total aspirants coming out successfully.

Standing alongside Deepanshi, Thota Somanadh Seshadri Naidu from Vijayawada and Sarthak Agrawal from Hathras, secured the second and third ranks, respectively. Thota Somanadh scored 516 marks out of 600 resulting in 86.00%, while Sarthak Agrawal closely followed with 515 marks out of 600, also receiving an impressive 85.83%.

While the toppers’ results are closely tied with each other, girl power comes out on top this CA Intermediate season as scores of Chartered Accountants begin to take another step in their journey towards the industry.

In the January 2025 Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination, the pass percentages show a challenging scenario for aspirants. A total of 48,261 candidates appeared for both groups combined, out of which only 6,781 managed to pass, resulting in a pass percentage of 14.05%. For Group I, 108,187 candidates took the exam, with 15,332 successfully clearing it, marking a 14.17% pass rate. In Group II, 80,368 students appeared, and 17,813 passed, leading to a relatively higher pass rate of 22.16%.

When compared to the 2024 exam cycle, these numbers reflect a decline in overall success rates. The previous cycle had 30,763 candidates attempting both groups, with 4,134 passing, while Group I and Group II had 11,253 and 10,566 successful candidates, respectively.
