The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has clarified that, the contents of the video showing a speculated alteration to the existing system of minimum pass marks required for the Chartered Accountancy Examination, that there will soon be separate minimum mark requirements for the MCQ and Descriptive parts of the examination, is not true.
The tweet has gotten 30k+ views within 3 hours of posting it on ‘X’.
In reply to the tweet, CA Rohit Ruwatia Agarwal has stated that, “Nothing going on like this. Thanks.”

CA Anupam Sharma has, in reply to the tweet, opined that, “if ICAI does then it must pass from the council and exam committee. It is correct in my view, but until it is approved by the Council and exam committee, it cannot be implemented. As of now, it is not part of the Council meeting's agenda.”
Chartered Accountancy student Ayush has also replied to the tweet on X, saying that, “Fir to audit,Law jaisi subject m maximum students fail ho jaenge result aadha ho jaega, sabse jyada mushkil Hindi medium students ko aaegi jo Audit jaisi subject me MCQ ke basis par pass hote h. Last time mere law m 53 marks aae the jisme 28 MCQ and 25 descrative m fir bhi fail?”

In short, the examination and valuation process, and the minimum pass mark criteria are set to continue as is and students are advised to rely only on official and trusted sources for any changes in the examination process and avoid spreading of fake news on social media.
