On January 13, 2025, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) officially released the schedule for the May 2025 Chartered Accountants ( CA ) examinations. The exams will cover the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses, along with the Post Qualification Course in the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT–AT).
Exam Dates
The exams will begin in early May 2025. A detailed schedule includes:
Foundation Course: May 15, 17, 19, and 21, 2025.
Intermediate Course:
- Group I: May 3, 5, and 7, 2025.
- Group II: May 9, 11, and 14, 2025.
Final Course:
- Group I: May 2, 4, and 6, 2025.
- Group II: May 8, 10, and 13, 2025.
INTT–AT: May 10 and 13, 2025.
No exams: May 12, 2025 (Buddha Purnima).

Exam Timings
The examinations will take place in the afternoon, starting at 2 PM (IST). The duration varies depending on the paper, with most exams lasting three hours. Paper 6 of the Final course and all INTT–AT papers will be four hours long.

Note:
- No advance reading time will be provided for Paper 3 and 4 of Foundation and all papers of INTT – AT.

Exam Centers
The exams will be conducted across multiple cities in India and nine overseas locations. Major Indian cities include Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Overseas centers include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kathmandu, and Riyadh, among others. ICAI reserves the right to cancel any center with insufficient candidates.

Online Application Process
Candidates must apply online for the May 2025 exams via ICAI's Self-Service Portal (SSP). The application window opens on March 1, 2025, and closes on March 14, 2025. Late applications will be accepted until March 17, 2025, with a late fee of Rs. 600 or US $10.
For those needing to make corrections in their exam city or medium, the correction window will be open from March 18 to March 20, 2025.
Exam Fees
The examination fees vary based on the course and location:
- Foundation: Rs. 1,500 (India), Rs. 2,200 (Kathmandu), US $325 (other overseas centers).
- Intermediate: Rs. 1,500 (single group, India) or Rs. 2,700 (both groups, India).
- Final: Rs. 1,800 (single group, India) or Rs.3,300 (both groups, India).
- INTT–AT: Rs. 2,000.
Late submissions will incur an additional fee.
Option to Write in Hindi
Candidates may opt to write the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exams in Hindi, except for the INTT–AT, which will only be conducted in English.
