The JPMorgan Chase & Co invited applications for the post of Financial Controller – Finance & Business Management.


  • CA or MBA in Finance and P&A experience
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Self-starter who can work in a fast paced, results driven environment.
  • Demonstrate reasonable analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and auditable record keeping. Experience of leading and developing junior members of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel (Pivot table and vlookup), Outlook, Word and Powerpoint and experience of VBA development or any Anaplan knowledge would be an advantage or other Firmwide reporting tools (Alteryx and Tableau) 


  • Assist in the production and reporting of the monthly outlook / annual budget process for P&L, balance sheet and headcount across all SGO businesses at a legal entity level.  
  • Ownership and management of SGO hierarchy. 
  • Production of monthly management reports, and reporting to the business on material variances between actuals and budget. Learn to use a new P&A tool (Anaplan) and become an SME on this tool as it is rolled out across the SGO F&BM team.
  • Support the wider firmwide teams (e.g. Corporate P&A, LEC) on all queries relating to SGO financial performance. 
  • Assist in the production of insightful materials for quarterly earnings prep, Investor Day prep, Jamie business review presentations and OC offsites for senior management. 
  • Production and analysis of baseline and stressed forecasts for regulatory submissions including ICAAP, ILAAP & CCAR.
  • Partnering with the London P&A team and business / data teams on ad-hoc financial modelling to support the development and cost-benefit analysis of new business ideas and contributing to strategic projects including the development of long-term integrated modelling and data analytics capabilities
