CA Professional Misconduct: ICAI removes name of 2 Chartered Accountants [Read Notifications]

The Disciplinary Committee of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) removed the names of two CAs for Professional Misconduct.
The Disciplinary Committee has held CA. Gurusamy C (Membership No. 208976) guilty of Professional Misconduct falling within the meaning of Clause (7) of Part I of the Second Schedule to the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 and consequently ordered for removal of the name of CA Gurusamy C from the Register of Members for a period of 01(One) year and also imposed a fine of Rs. 1 Lakh.
The Disciplinary Committee has held CA. Sivaraman S (Membership No. 018251) guilty of Professional Misconduct falling within the meaning of Clause (3) of Part II of the Second Schedule to the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 and consequently ordered for removal of the name of CA Sivaraman S from the Register of Members for a period of 3 months.
The name of two CAs shall stand removed from the Register of Members for the respective periods with effect from 15th February, 2021.
Earlier, the ICAI had also removed five Chartered Accountant in Separate notifications.
