CAG invites Applications for Empanelment of CA Firms/LLPs for 2025-2026

The Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General ( CAG ) of India has announced the empanelment process for Chartered Accountant ( CA ) firms and Limited Liability Partnerships ( LLPs ) for the financial year 2025-2026. The empanelment aims to identify and appoint eligible auditors for companies under Sections 139(5) and 139(7) of the Companies Act, 2013, as well as for Statutory Corporations and Autonomous Bodies in accordance with their respective legal provisions.

Interested CA firms and LLPs can submit their applications through the official portal at care.cag.gov.in from January 7, 2025, to February 17, 2025. The online application form includes detailed instructions for the registration process.

Key Requirements for Applicants

1. Firm Status as of January 1, 2025: Applicants must update their firm's status as of this date in the online form.

2. Acknowledgement Letter: After completing the online submission, firms/LLPs must generate an online acknowledgement letter. Failure to generate this letter will result in disqualification from the empanelment process.

3. Hard Copy Submission: In addition to the online submission, applicants must send a printout of the acknowledgement letter and hard copies of supporting documents to the CAG office by February 28, 2025.

Scope of Engagement

Empanelled firms/LLPs will be considered for appointments as auditors for companies, statutory corporations, and autonomous bodies for ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, transparency and accountability in financial reporting.

Application Timeline

- Online Application Availability: January 7, 2025, to February 17, 2025.

- Deadline for Hard Copy Submission: February 28, 2025.
