The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Monday notified corrigendum for notification on the extension of due dates under Income Tax Laws and Benami Laws, which was notified by the Notification No. 35/2020, dated June 24, 2020.
Through Income Tax Notification No. 35/2020 dated June 24, 2020, the government extended the Due date for ITR for Financial Year 2018-19 up to July 31, 2020, the last date for investments to be eligible for deduction.
In the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, (Department of Revenue) (Central Board of Direct Taxes), number 35/2020, dated the 24th June 2020, published, vide, number S.O. 2033(E), dated the 24th June 2020 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), at page 3 inline 30, for “section 54 or 54GB” read “sections 54 to 54GB” and in line 35, for “sub-clause (i)” read “sub-clause (i) of clause (c)” the notification clarified.Subscribe Taxscan AdFree to view the Judgment
