The Government is all set to kick start GST, the most awaited tax reform, from July 2017 onwards. Recently, the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) invited suggestions on All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback under the GST regime till 15.03.2017.
The notice stated that “to ensure smooth transition to GST framework, the Drawback committee is to formulate and recommend revised All Industry Rates (AIRs) of drawbacks on exports and/ or any other relevant drawback like rebate to be implemented for exports in the context of new GST environment and/ or remnant tax structure.”
