In a major boost for ease of doing business, the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has launched Single Window Interface for Facilitating Trade ( SWIFT ) which will enable the Importers electronically lodge their customs clearance documents at a single point.
It is a Single window system to obtain permission from regulatory agencies such as Animal Quarantine, Drug Controller and Textile Committee online.
SWIFT integrates regulatory requirements on a common platform, thereby minimizing duplicity and cost of compliance.
