A bribery case has been charged against Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Meena, Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Kumar Singh; Deputy Commissioner Sudarshan Meena; Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Yadav; Supdt Manish Singh and Private Person (CHA) Nilesh Singh of Customs department by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
According to reports, the four persons were allegedly indulged in for demanding a bribe of Rs 50 lakh from the complainant for managing the clearance of a consignment. CBI laid a trap and caught two deputy commissioners and one private person for allegedly accepting Rs 5 lakh as the first instalment of bribe. Role of two more deputy commissioners and a superintendent was also found during investigation.
Searches were conducted at the official and residential premises of the accused. The arrested persons will be produced before the competent Court.
