The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday launched extensive searches at eleven locations across Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar in connection with a case of disproportionate assets registered against an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2005 batch and his wife.

According to officials, the searches are being conducted at both residential and official premises linked to the accused officer and his associates. The CBI had earlier registered a case alleging that the officer had illicitly amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. His wife has also been named as an accused for allegedly abetting the accumulation of assets worth over ₹1.31 crore—approximately 156.24% more than their legal income.

Preliminary findings suggest that the accused invested large sums of alleged illicit funds in properties across Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Mumbai. During the ongoing searches, officials have recovered incriminating documents and digital evidence.

The operation is underway, and further investigations are in progress.
