The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs ( CBIC ) under the Ministry of Finance issued Notification No. 83/2024-Customs (N.T.) dated November 21, 2024, amending the earlier Notification No. 12/1997-Customs (N.T.) dated April 2, 1997.
This amendment designates Dhanakya, Rajasthan, as a recognized location for specific import-export activities.
Amendment in Notification No. 12/97-Customs (N.T.):

In the notification No. 12/97-Customs (N.T.), under serial number 10 relating to the State of Rajasthan, the following addition has been made:

(vi) Dhanakya | Unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods. |
The principal notification was last amended by Notification No. 78/2024-Customs (N.T.) dated November 12, 2024. With this addition, Dhanakya is set to become a hub for customs operations, facilitating trade flows in and out of the region.
