The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) has issued Notification No. 09/2025 – Customs (N.T.) dated February 7, 2025, allowing Rajkot, Gujarat, to be used for unloading imported goods and loading export goods.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has used its powers under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, to make changes to a previous notification (No. 61/94-Customs (N.T.)), issued by the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) on November 21, 1994. As part of this update, a new entry has been added to the table under serial number 6, which refers to the State of Gujarat. The new addition is as follows:

   (e) RajkotUnloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods.”

What Has Changed?

  • The government has added Rajkot to the list of customs locations in Gujarat.
  • Rajkot is now officially allowed for unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods

This amendment has been made to Notification No. 61/94-Customs (N.T.) dated November 21, 1994.
