The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs ( CBIC ) issued Notification No. 27/2024-Customs ( ADD ) dated 18th December 2024, imposing definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of “Telescopic Channel Drawer Slider” originating from or exported by China PR.
The imposition was after the final findings of the Directorate General of Trade Remedies ( DGTR ), which confirmed that the subject goods were being imported into India at dumped prices, causing material injury to the domestic industry.

(i) the subject goods have been exported to India from the subject country at dumped prices;
(ii) the domestic industry has suffered material injury;
(iii) material injury has been caused by the dumped imports of the subject goods from the subject country,
and has recommended the imposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject goods, originating in or exported from the subject country and imported into India, in order to remove injury to the domestic industry.
The anti-dumping duty replaces the provisional duties imposed earlier through Notification No. 13/2024-Customs ( ADD ) dated 27th June 2024. Under the notification, an anti-dumping duty of $422 per metric ton has been levied on imports from producers not specifically excluded in the list.
Products such as kitchen and bedroom fittings, including slimline tandem boxes and double wall drawers, remain exempt from the duty as they fall outside the scope of the investigation. The duty, effective retrospectively from 27th June 2024, will remain in place for five years unless earlier revoked or amended.

Note: products such as kitchen and bedroom fittings ( such as trouser pull-out, slide mounted ties rack ), slim box/ slim ergo, ultra slim box/ super slim ergo, Legra box, tandem box (drawer), Econo box, slim tandem box, double wall box, compact box, slimline tandem box, double wall drawer, matrix box are specifically excluded from the scope of the product under consideration.
