CBIC notifies GST Rate Changes for Goods w.e.f 18th July [Read Notifications]

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has notified the GST rate changes as per the recommendations of the GST Council meeting conducted last month at Chandigarh.

The Board has issued several notifications to implement the recommendations made by the GST Council with respect to changes in GST Rates of Goods & Services. These changes shall be applicable from July 18th, 2022.

The GST Council’s 47th meeting was held in Chandigarh on 28th and 29th June 2022 under the chairmanship of the Union Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman has increased the GST Rate on Various Goods and Services including Knives with cutting blades, serrated or not (including pruning knives), other than knives of heading 8208, and blades, Spoons, forks, ladles, skimmers, cake-servers, fish-knives, butter-knives, sugar tongs and similar kitchen or tableware, Bicycle pumps, Parts of air or vacuum pumps and compressors of bicycle pumps etc.

These notifications shall come into force on the 18th day of July, 2022.
