The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has released the list of office-bearers with the approval of the Competent Authority to allocate charges among the Members of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs
The members with their designated charges are as follows:
Shri Vivek Johri was allocated the charge of the Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.
Smt. Sungita Sharma was appointed as the Member (Administration & Vigilance). Shri Rajiv Talwar was appointed as the Member (Customs) and Compliance Management was delegated to Board Member Shri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal.
The post of Member (IT, Taxpayer Services & Technology) was allocated to Shri Alok Shukla whereas Tax Policy shall be under the supervision of Smt V. Rama Mathew.
Shri Shashank Priya was selected for the GST, Central Excise, Service Tax and Legal Supervision.
Along with the respective charges, the Directorates of various Regions, Preventive Zones and wings like NACIN, Vigilance, HR Development, Performance Management etc. were also assigned to the Members of the Board. The Chairman was also assigned with the responsibility to supervise all the other Board members in relevant matters.
