CBIC Notifies Rohini Yard Jetty, Raigad as New Customs Station under Customs Act [Read Notification]

The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) issued Notification No. 27/2025 – Customs (N.T.) dated April 22, 2025, notifying the inclusion of Rohini Yard Jetty, Rohini Village, Raigad, Maharashtra as a designated customs station under the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962​.

Details of the Notification

The notification was issued under section 7(1)(d) of the Customs Act, 1962, which makes a formal amendment to the earlier Notification No. 64/1994-Customs (N.T.) dated November 21, 1994. This amendment adds a new entry at serial number 9 for the State of Maharashtra in column (3), after entry (51) in column (3) by inserting:

This designation empowers the Rohini Yard Jetty to be used as a legal customs station for the loading and unloading of imported and export goods under customs supervision.

The notification was issued by Supriya Chandran, Under Secretary, CBIC, and is effective from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, i.e., April 22, 2025.
