The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), on Wednesday, issued the notification which seeks to rename the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Central Excise). The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), on Wednesday, issued the notification which seeks to rename the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Central Excise).
The notification said, “it has been decided with the approval of Competent Authority to rename the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Central Excise) (IRS(C&CE), Group 'A' as "Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes)" (IRS(C&IT), Group 'A'.”
The notification will be effective from 10 February, 2021.
