CBIC revises Customs Tariff Values of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Areca Nuts, Gold, and Silver [Read Notification]
CBIC has updated the customs tariff value with effect from 15th June 2024.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs ( CBIC ), under the Ministry of Finance, has issued notification no. 53/2024-CUSTOMS ( N.T. ) dated July 31, 2024, amending the tariff value of crude palm oil, gold, silver, and areca nuts, effective from August 1, 2024.
The tariff values for Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, Other Palm Oils, Crude Palmolein, RBD Palmolein, Other Palmoleins, and Crude Soybean Oil have been adjusted, with some values increased and others reduced. The tariff value of areca nuts has been lowered to $6,242 per metric tonne.
In the said notification, for TABLE-1, TABLE-2, and TABLE-3 the following Tables shall be substituted, namely: -
