Central Excise (Non Tariff ) Notifications 12/2017, 13/2017 and 14/2017 shall be applicable from 22nd June 2017

The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) recently notified the date on which the Central Excise (Non-Tariff ) Notifications 12/2017, 13/2017 and 14/2017 shall come into force. These notifications were published in the official gazette on 9^th June 2017.

The Notification No 12/2017 was about the appointment of Excise officers and vesting them with powers under the Excise Act 1944 and under Chapter V of Finance Act 1994.

Notification 13/2017 relating to the Territorial Jurisdiction of Principal Chief Commissioners/Chief Commissioners, Principal Commissioners/Commissioners, Commissioner (Appeals), Commissioner (Audit) under the Central Excise law.

Notification No 14/2017 speaks about the delegation of powers for the purpose of the assignment of adjudication of show-cause notices.

As per the present notification, all the above notifications shall be applicable from 22^nd June 2017.
