Central Government imposes US $2000 PMT Minimum Export Price ( MEP ) on Honey Exports

The Central Government has implemented a Minimum Export Price ( MEP ) of US $2000 per Metric Tonne ( PMT ) for honey exports, effective until December 31, 2024, or until further notice, whichever occurs first. This directive was issued through notification no. 75/2023 dated March 14, 2024.
In accordance with the authority vested by Section 3, along with Section 5 of the Foreign Trade ( Development & Regulation ) Act, 1992 ( No. 22 of 1992 ), as amended, in conjunction with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the Central Government hereby introduces a Minimum Export Price ( MEP ) on the export of Natural Honey under ITC HS code 0409 00 00 of Schedule 2 of the ITC ( HS ) Export Policy, 2023, as outlined below:

The Notification will take immediate effect, with transitional arrangements governed by Para 1.05 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, being applicable.
