The Central Government vide notification no. 38/2023-Customs amended the Principal notification No.62/2022-Customs, dated the 26th day of December, 2022 of the India - Australia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on 23rd May 2023.
The Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962 empowered the Central Government to amend the notification on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest to do so.
The amendments are:
- S.No. 6 and the entries relating thereto omitted;
- against S.No. 7, for the entries in column (2) and column (3), the entries “27011210” and “All Goods” substituted respectively;
- after S. No. 7 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and the following entries inserted:
