The Central Government has permitted export of Kala Namak Rice under HS Code 1006 30 90 up to 1000 MT through Specified Customs Stations. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade ( DGFT ) has notified the same through notification no. 01 /2023 dated 2nd April, 2024.
The notification permits exports of Kala Namak rice up to a total quantity not surpassing one thousand metric tonnes through designated customs stations, collectively, starting from the date of the notification’s enforcement. The Director of Agriculture Marketing & Foreign Trade, Lucknow, is designated as the authorized signatory for certifying the authenticity of Kala Namak rice and its quantity.
In accordance with the authority vested by Section 3, in conjunction with Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, as amended, and in alignment with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the Central Government hereby introduces the following policy provisions governing the export of Kala Namak rice classified under ITC ( HS ) code 1006 30 90 of Chapter 10 of Schedule 2 of the ITC ( HS ) Export Policy:
